Wedding Gift
Only you can figure out what to give as a gift, but how it is presented can
be a daunting task especially if you plan on packaging and/or wrapping the gift
yourself. Here are some great ideas!
Try wrapping the package in two different papers like a print and a solid with a
matching bow! Or try wrapping in pretty tissue paper instead of the traditional
wrapping papers.
For the toppers try a pretty pastel tissue paper wadded up and stuck inside an
ice cream cone. Great for ice cream lovers!
Or, since it is a bridal gift, attach something old, something new, something
borrowed, and something blue! For this try a piece of old lace, tied with a blue
ribbon, and topped with a shiny new penny and whatever she wants to borrow! Just
tell her she can borrow it and don’t say how it will be delivered. She’ll love
it!
If you are giving a kitchen gift, attach some kind of gadget to coordinate!
Create a fan - for a bow - by folding tissue or wrapping paper and attaching to the
package.
Fresh or silk flowers - fresh are best by far - in place of a bow are always well
received.
Just be sure the flowers will compliment your package and detract from it.
For a little fun and adventure, give the gift by scavenger hunt. Everyone likes
this game!
Now you’re ready to deliver a memorable package, but remember, no one can tell
you what the best gift would be. If in doubt, ask the bride and/or groom as this
is better than getting bad suggestions from someone else - even a family member
- or
trying to guess and winding up with either the wrong gift or a duplicate gift.
If you know the bride and/or groom well, then you will know what to give them to please them. However, if this is not the case, then first check their gift registry - if they have one - and ask them as a last resort. Getting the right gift is much better than guessing and have them disappointed beside the other consequences previously mentioned.
